The Sri Lankan Parliamentary Session was convened under the chairmanship of Speaker Mahinda Yappa Abeywardhana. This conference will be held from today till the 23rd.
Parliament met at 9.30 am today, Tuesday, for the second reading of the Parliamentary Budget Office Bill.
In this case, 9.30 am to 10.30 am has been reserved as question time for oral answer.
Meanwhile, the debate on the second reading of the Parliamentary Budget Office Bill will be held from 10.30 am to 5 pm.
In this case, the Parliamentary Communications Department has informed that the debate will be held during the adjournment of the House brought by the ruling party from 5 pm to 5.30 pm.
Meanwhile, the Parliament’s Communications Department has also informed that the second reading of the anti-bribery bill will be held tomorrow. Along with this, the second reading of the Aid and Protection of Victims and Witnesses Bill and the second reading of the Civil Procedure (Amendment) Bill will be held in Parliament. Further, it has been informed that a discussion on the President’s address to the nation will be held from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm on the coming Thursday.
